Desi helped plan and officiated our small/micro wedding in the Duluth area. Since our meet and greet to the big day Desi made things go smoothly. She frequently communicated and checked in with us, gave us so many great local recommendations, and overall made the day go off perfectly! She is friendly, personable, hard working, and all the great positive things you want and need from someone helping you with such an important day!

My husband & I worked with Desi from True North Weddings to plan our April 2026 wedding weekend. We had an exceptional experience & would recommend Desi's expertise to anyone looking for a partner to plan their big day with. Our wedding was destination for us as well as all of our guests, so we relied heavily on local recommendations from True North; it made our vendor selection so much easier & saved us lots of time. Desi also has worked with so many North Shore vendors as collaborators in past weddings, so utilizing her recommendations not only simplified things, but also created a seamless effect on wedding day as they all worked so well together! Desi ultimately deserves the credit for everything from hair, floral, DJ, decor and design to the flow of the day itself as she played an irreplaceable role in all of it. One of the biggest asks I had of my wedding weekend was to be able to spend my time with my guests & my husband, rather than having to manage on-site logistics. We used True North Weddings for our July 2025 wedding in Cable, WI and am so glad we did! Planning a destination, outdoor, tent wedding at a private residence is challenging, and they did everything they could to make it go smoothly for me in the months leading up and on the day of. Mariah paid very close attention to details, was incredibly organized, and even listened to me cry. She took care of everything the day-of, and hardly bothered me with issues or questions. Because of her team, the day went seamlessly (at least to us): the vendors knew where to be and when, the tables were set up, the flowers didn’t tip over in the wind, the timeline flowed and stayed on track, etc, etc. I can’t even imagine what we would have done without them! Thank you for all the care and support you put into our wedding day! I would hire them again and again :)

Amanda was the best and True North Weddings exceeded our expectations! Amanda had great ideas, kept us on track, and respected the budget. She reached out to vendors the week prior to take things off our plate. The day of the wedding, Amanda and Carmen, were wonderful keeping everything running smoothly and stress free for the bride. Unbelievable the day they put in! Highly recommend to anyone!!

There is no doubt in our minds that without Amanda and the True North team as "day of coordinators," our wedding would not have been nearly as fun. She made everything feel easy, which is exactly what we wanted! They are so detail oriented and will make sure nothing gets missed. She met with us virtually in advance and went over the timeline and an online planner tool so everything was discussed. Our wedding seemed complicated to us (train as transportation, ceremony in another location) but Amanda and team handled it like it was any other event. Thank you guys for making our day go smoothly!
